To the Farm!

After 2 1/2 weeks of everyone being sick (except for Ronan) we needed to get out of the house and do something! So, off to the farm we went to pick apples!
Ronan's happy to be up on the ladder

What a good brother. Ronan sat on the bench with Madelyn for a while so I could snap some photos-he loves her so.
Morgan's turn to go up the ladder

Day 3..

Of sick children. Yuck! I had three sick kids on Tues., four on Wed., and two today. Ronan has cried every morning because he was NOT one of the sick kids who 'got to stay home'. He has been hugging and kissing them TRYING to get sick. Is school really THAT bad? I'm am feeling a little under the weather this afternoon, and am hoping I'm just run-down from taking care of kids all through the night the past 3 nights. PLEASE don't let me get sick too!

3 Months Old

I keep feeling bad that I have hardly any photos of Madelyn. So, today she is 3 months old, and I decided to WOULD get the camera out and take her picture! She is my sweet little darling, I love her so much!

End of Summer...

This past weekend we took our last summer trip to the beach. We love the beach, and are sad to see this years beach days come to an end. The beach is truly where my kids are at home. They love the water, the sand, the sun, the waves, everything about spending time at the beach.
Here are some photos from our fun in the sun.....
Morgan and Duncan just loved playing in the surf.

Morgan could of laid here all day!

Disappearing arms!
This is the proof that Madelyn and I were on the vacation too!
Ashlyn just loved playing in the sand!

Ronan was so excited to of found this teeny tiny sand crab!

I can't believe how big Ronan is. For some reason this picture just reminds me of how much he's grown. That might sound weird, seeing as how he isn't even standing up straight, but oh well!

This picture of Duncan tells the story of his vacation. Playing catch with the waves!

Poor Ronan lost one of his brackets from his braces the day we left on vacation, I DIDN'T call and try to get it fixed before we left, what's a few days, right?

Morgan is my tough chick, who is always in the water. Not much sand play for her, she wants to be where the action is!
Happy girl.....

We (Brian and the 5 older kids that is) went and checked out one of the old lookout towers they have there. They walked up all the stairs to get to the top, and Ashlyn loved it! She kept saying "Ashlyn high!" after that, talking about how high she was!
I'm sad that this is one of only 3 photos I even got of Hayden at the beach.

Waiting for the waves....
The wave that was just about to come here below ended up getting Morgan and Duncan really well!

Duncan was nervous to go 'OUT' boogie boarding, but after putting on his life jacket, he agreed to go out with Brian and Morgan.
He caught a wave!!

This one caught him.....
Brian enjoyed some time out in the waves on his own as well, without kids hanging all over him. He caught me taking a picture and sent me a little sign-what a sweetie!

Ashlyn even went out with Brian and caught some waves. She really enjoyed it!

Sunset on the beach.....
Goodbye summer days.....

First Day of School

This past week was our first day of school! Yay! I have to admit that this was the time in 8 years that I've had kids going to school that I was looking forward to the kids starting school up again! This was also the first year I've had a baby in the summer, and wasn't up to all our normal summer fun. So, I think that had a lot to do with it, but none the less, I we were ALL excited for the first day!

It was weird this year, because Hayden started Middle School, and left and hour before everyone, and rode a bus for the first time in his life! He of course was so excited, and couldn't wait to start. I was the one worried for my 11 yr old's first time riding a bus to school. It is nice though that the bus stop is at the end of our driveway, and his best friend lives right behind us and rides with him! Here they are on their first day of Middle School:
The other kids and I walk/ride bikes to school. Duncan started Kindergarten this year, and is loving it and doing well. Morgan is in the 2nd grade, and Ronan in the 3rd.Ashlyn cries each time we leave the school after dropping them off: "Me too! Me too! My backpack!" She wants to join them in school so badly, and wears her backpack each morning as we take them! It makes me sad to think in 3 years she will be in Kindergarten! Time just goes too fast, and I know how quickly 3 years will fly by!
