EFY

Hayden went to EFY (Especially For Youth) this past week at Southern Virginia University.
We flew home late Sunday afternoon and drove 5 hours to southern Virginia straight from the airport.
Stayed in a hotel, then woke up Monday morning and dropped him off.
This is the "Ok Mom, stop taking photos and leave." look.

The girls relaxing on the front porch of the dorm building.

He had a wonderful time! He made lots of new friends, had great experiences, and can't wait to go back next year!

He came home with NO photos....something that he regrets. I think next year we'll get to see some.
So glad he had a great time!

Wedding

While in Colorado we got to attend my cousin Tracy's wedding!
It was a wonderful wedding.
Hayden and Missy waiting for the ceremony to begin.

 The beautiful bride, Tracy.

The wedding reception was held at The Wing's over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.
Tracy's husband, JP is a pilot, so it was the perfect venue.
 My beautiful girl.

The museum was open for the guest, along with some simulators and cock pit tours.

The kids had a great time!
Apparently Morgan went barefoot most of the night. Lol!

Duncan & Madelyn (I love catching them in sweet moments)

 Missy and Aunt Laurie

My grandma and her fiance, Dick. They are getting married THIS week!

She had her eye on the cupcakes!

Hayden was having a good time!

The girls had a blast dancing.

(I don't think these two stopped dancing the whole night)

Sean & Stella (and baby boy!)

The whole wedding was wonderful, and we all had a blast, especially in the photo booth!

CONGRATULATIONS TO TRACY & JP!
Thanks for a great night!

Mahaffey cousins / Mt. Evans

We got to spend time with Brian's mom and sister & cousins while in Colorado.
Brian's mom celebrated her 60th birthday this year, and we had a little celebratory dinner with her.
Grandma Karen and grandkids.

Bergen and Madelyn hanging out in the basement.

The 2nd day we spent with Grandma Karen we drove up to Mt. Evans
Morgan had said 2 days before that she wanted to see some mountain goats.
 And she did.

 Little babies too!

 Beautiful views.

 My handsome boy.

This photos captures a lot for me.
Our trip up Mt. Evans was a bit rough.
We woke the girls up early to go have breakfast, which they never recovered from.
So, take 2 extremely tired girls, and drive them up over 14,000 ft with parents who are feeling some altitude sickness and it's an explosive time. Madelyn was crying from the beginning, Brian was feeling sick as soon as we got out of the car, Ashlyn cried the whole way down the path from the top for me to carry her. It was the picture of loveliness I'm sure.
I ended up leaving early with 4 kids to go back to my parents for naps/rest.
Later that night, look who wandered into their yard...

It was a good day for wildlife!
